In the last blog, I shared with you what I do when I finish writing in my journal for the year. In case you missed it, in my last entry I like to write the lessons I learned from the time I started the journal to the time I ended it.
Here are the lessons I learned from last years journal:
1) It's okay to have anxiety or depression, don't run from it ( it just makes things worse). Accept it, because once you do you can take the steps to help you cope with it. And always know in the middle of a panic attack, it will pass.
2) Have standards, don't just let anybody on your bus. Do not let someone EVER make you wonder if they love you or not ( that goes for friendships and relationships). True love does not make you question someone's intentions or love and it doesn't cause fear. True love casts out all fear. And whoever you do let in your life, should make you want to be a better person.
3) When you don't know your next move to make, just do the next right thing. And normally, that means being still and waiting on God's instructions.
4) If you get presented with an opportunity to move, DO IT. I took the chance and moved to another state and now I finally feel like I am living and not just existing.
5) If you keep feeling the "TUG" to do something, do it. Even if it sounds crazy because that is likely God telling you where to go.
6) True love will find you and it will come in the weirdest way at the weirdest time. And you will know when it finds you because it will feel healthy and safe.
7) Sometimes you are going to have crazy thoughts and get confused about where they are coming from. But remember they are not you, quickly move on from them and don't feel guilty, fill your mind with positive things. And above all bring your attention back to Jesus.
Finally, don't be so hung up on where you have been and where you are going, just try to live in the moment and enjoy each step of the way, bc all you have is right now.
and remember,
"God is seldom early, but he is never late"
